frequently asked questions
What kind of equipment do you use?

We use Noritsu professional minilab equipment that has been carefully refurbished; a QSF-T15 developer for C-41 35mm development and an SA-1700 scanner for all our scanning. We also use a Phototherm Super-Sidekick for black and white 35mm and all 120 film.

What is your turnaround time?

We are a one-hour photo lab. Until we are permanently overwhelmed by orders, or our days are full of unpleasant surprises, we'll be ready to deliver your scans in one (business) hour or less. Any rolls dropped off during off-hours will be developed the next business hour.

How do I get you my rolls?

We've got a rad, secure little contactless dropbox outside our house. Check out ourdrop off film page to learn more about how-to, where-to, why-to, etc.

What about paying and stuff?

That's the easy part. As soon as your rolls are ready, you'll receive an invoice via email, which you can pay via card or PayPal.

Okay, then how do I get my scans?

Easy! The moment your invoice is paid (literally, this website may be from the 90s but our automation is from 2023), you'll trigger an email with a link to download your scans in a zip file.

How are y'all so affordable?

We are on a mission to make film photography as accessible and as affordable as possible. To keep costs low (without losing quality) we run the business out of our house, and it's just the two of us! We still shoot weddings and develop all our wedding film ourselves; quality and accuracy are extremely important to us.
